Birding
in Rwanda
Though Rwanda has no single endemic bird species,
its small landlocked size of about 26000km²
(roughly bigger than the Tsavos National Park in
Kenya) is strange, for it holds nearly 700 species
of birds. This figure alone surpasses all the East
African countries namely Kenya Uganda, Tanzania
and Burundi.
Habitats
are made up of misty mountains, swamps and forests
with farmed steep terrain and easily can an avid
birder avi-comb the country in 2 weeks.
