17 Day Birding & Big Game

Tanzania is with no doubt the very endemic rich East African country and probably one of the few countries where three endemic birds can be seen in one tree and can figure out what was tick one and three. Such species can be Rufous-tailed Weaver, Ashy Starling and Yellow-collared Lovebird sitting in one tree at the entrance gate of Tarangire National Park. Not forgetting the “Pemba Four” (Sunbird, Green Pigeon, White-eye and Scops Owl) which sometimes will appear in one single morning. In search of the “Usambara Specials” brings the participants to another sort of endemic mountains of the Eastern Arc. A two weeks birding trip on the Northern part of the country will brings to over half of the endemics found there. .
